Yep you read the title right, it's DRIPPING GOLD!!! okay it's not real gold because that would mean this design cost a fortune.
I've used OPI Black Onyx and OPI Glitzerland. If you've been roaming around pin interest and other nail blogs, the whole paint dripping on the nail in various colours have been floating around. I'm not a huge fan of the blue red and green etc dripping on a white base, those colours in combination are not my style, just reminds me of crayons on nails. It makes me look juvenile and my style is more sophisticated. But I figured the black and gold combination would stand out and look great.
The bobbypin is all you will need to create the dripping effect, dip it in some gold and blob away with a feather like hand. The key to create the tear like shapes is to be super light on hand and just let your creativity roam free. Some of my nails started looking more like an avalanche of gold was falling down but that's not bad. So don't forget base coat, black base and GOLD AWAY!!
Show me what you've done with your nails! @MisaAvenue Would love to see what colours you use and how you create your dripping gold/paint.
Keep posted because a post on the July Violet Box will be coming very soon!
