A day with Misa Avenue

Sydney has finally hit up some beautiful sun, but with crazy amounts of wind every now and then. I just wanted to post a more casual post about random bits and bobs (if you don't mind). So first of all lets go with something makeup related.

I found out over facebook on the Benefit Australia page that they're doing a Mascara Swap.... confused? Excited? I was jumping up and down and so excited that I took a trip to Myer in the City just to do the Mascara Swap. All you have to do is bring in an old mascara that you've finished up or don't like to use and swap it for a SAMPLE of the Benefit they're real mascara. And of course the lovely Benefit ladies are so happy to help out with anything else. I ended up trying the Porefessional primer which I think is amazing, and they have a package deal at the moment which I have yet to run back and buy.

I took a little stroll to the Chanel counter since I was in Myer already and well you know, I didn't have any nail polish on so yay to swatching Chanel polish? I swatched the gorgeous Chanel Peridot and I think it's amazing and beautiful. Definitely hoping to purchase this soon but it's not at the top of my shopping list just yet. Isn't it beautiful? in different lighting it gives off a different colour as well.

And the long awaited visit to the Magnum Pleasure pop up store in Westfield Sydney, and its right outside Thomas Sabo. So what the Magnum pleasure store does is pretty much the whole idea of adding toppings to your Magnum ice-cream, they have a huge range of toppings you can add like hazelnut, rose petals, dried strawberries, popping candy, and so much more. I had no idea whether these were freebies or whether we had to pay because Magnum didn't advertise any cost so Mia and I came to a decision that if it cost more than $6 we would share one, and the cost of each Magnum is actually $7. We had another friend join up in the line whilst we were waiting and she grabbed one herself.
It looks pretty and the whole experience is great but its $7, that's quite pricey for Magnum but with all the different toppings you can choose from its not that bad.  The coating of the chocolate that is dipped at the request of original chocolate, dark chocolate or white chocolate doesn't have that snap that boxed Magnums have it was more or a very soft type of chocolate which I personally did not like. With the four choices of toppings just piled up on the Magnum makes it quite messy to eat even though it looks so fancy with white chocolate drizzle. But if you're in the City and you happen to stroll by it's worth the experience.

Now moving onto some shoe news, I bought a few pairs of shoes off BrandsExclusive from the I love Billy and Fiebiger sales, and I've taken a picture of a pair of these because they seem to be what everyone's wearing at the moment. I love green and these were glittery pointed flats and I could not say no, nope, I was not passing these shoes. It's clear around the sides and most of the top part of the shoe as you can see, and when I tried them on I did not like them at all. It made my feet look fat, and I don't even have fat feet, and the green part at the top didn't cover all the toes clevage and it just did not look nice. It was such a pity though because celebrities make them look gorgeous, but I guess everyone's style is different and they just did not look good on me.
